Tracing the Footprints of the Red Army and Inheriting the Red Spirit—Tingxing, Head of the Rongda Technology Party Branch

Inside the Changting Museum, worn-out military uniforms and mottled gun barrels stand silently like monuments. From a major commercial town to a hub of the Central Soviet Area, and then to the starting point of the Long March, the artifacts speak for the years, making visitors feel as if they have traveled through time and space, standing on a battlefield filled with the smoke of gunpowder, and deeply appreciating the unwavering loyalty and immortal achievements of the revolutionary predecessors who sacrificed their lives for national independence and the liberation of the people.

With utmost reverence, the Party members entered the General Yang Chengwu Museum. Precious historical images and artifacts vividly recreated the legendary life of the general, who devoted himself to serving his country. His unwavering ideals and fearless revolutionary spirit inspired awe. Afterwards, they arrived at the solemn and dignified Qu Qiubai Martyrs' Monument, where evergreen pines and cypresses reflected his loyal heart. Entering the Qu Qiubai Memorial Hall, through detailed historical materials, the Party members gained a deeper understanding of the revolutionary deeds and unwavering faith of this outstanding early leader of the Communist Party of China, and developed a more profound appreciation for the hard-won victory of the revolution.

Leaving the Changting Museum, they arrived at the former site of the Gospel Hospital, the first Red Hospital in the Central Soviet Area. Before each simple yet extraordinary exhibit, the Party members paused to gaze, deeply moved by the immense sacrifices and outstanding contributions made by revolutionary predecessors on the medical front to preserve the flame of revolution under extremely difficult conditions. Before the site, all Party members faced the bright red Party flag, solemnly raised their right hands, and renewed their oath of joining the Party. The resounding oath declared their boundless loyalty to the Party and their unwavering determination to fight for the cause of communism for life. Party Branch Secretary Xu Kaihe emphasized on site: “Changting’s revolutionary history is a precious spiritual asset of our Party. Every Party member should draw strength from it and integrate the revolutionary spirit into their daily work.”

Following the site visit, a lively exchange and discussion session commenced. Party members actively participated, sharing their observations, thoughts, and insights. They unanimously agreed that the trip to Changting had been a profound intellectual and spiritual baptism, strengthening their ideals and beliefs and clarifying their responsibilities and missions.
