On the other hand, the content printed on thermal transfer paper can remain unchanged for a long time and will not be worn or discolored due to contact with solvents. It is usually used for printing shelf labels, jewelry labels, medicine labels, inventory management labels, care labels, and barcode labels inside mobile phone cases, which are labels and documents that need to be used for a long time.

With the maturity of technology, the price of thermal transfer printers and thermal printers has dropped to a level that is affordable for the average person. In home printing, due to their low cost, flexibility, convenience, and compact size, they are increasingly replacing ink cartridge printers and laser printers. With the decrease in the price of printing consumables, the price of direct thermal transfer printing is actually lower than the cost of printing itself.
